Amidst The Concrete Jungle
written by Starry_Nyght02:52 PM 3/24/05Amidst the Concrete Jungle
Known as the capital
Among the bustling throng
Walks a shy and young girl
Her eyes are open wide
They glitter with a wonder
At the colours that she sees
Above in the skies and under
The world is so big to her
Five foot only four
It was 5am this morning
When she left her own front door
A common rock pigeon
Flies past, almost ignored
But the wonder of the young girl
extends to it's flight abroad
Amidst the Concrete Jungle
Innocence is still alive
Though she is now 18
Her wonder will never die. |
