» Poem: broken soul
broken soul

I gave him my soul but he threw it away.
So I kept trying hard day after day.
I've been broken, I'm lost, I've got nowhere to go.
I'm torn up and beaten and no on will know.
He walks down the street ignoring my stares.
He's thrown away all the thoughts that we shared.
My head starts to drop and I sink into death.
Every minute that I waste is ending with every breath.
He was the hand that helped me raise when I fell down.
But now he pushed me away and I fell to the ground.
It's all over and I become something I'm not.
I've been betrayed and now I start to rot.
I twist like a vine and I dry like a rose.
I stand outside the right door as it begins to close.
I hope that this life of mine has a key to that door.
I walk away as it begins to pour.
You have broken my soul
