A Letter To Myself

You must stop confusing you
Stop thinking that your life is through
You have to look around and see what you've got
It doesn't matter whether they approve or not
You've got one of the best lives
So go and put away your knife
You won't be needing it tonight
You know he'll make everything alright
And even if he's the one that caused you pain
You must remind yourself that he loves you the same
He makes up everything you are
The one who made you forget your scars
He inspires you, he makes you real
And you know exactly how he feels
Don't lie to yourself, you know you can't
Just nod and get up when he asks you to dance
He is the best thing you have right now
So don't ever be around him and wear a frown
You know he'll pull you through it somehow
He's the only one that's looked at you and said, "wow"
He doesn't call you hott, he calls you beautiful
That should tell you everything you need to know
Just hold on for one more day
Because you know he's there to stay |
