Stone Cold Eyes
written by twistedmind3305:15 AM 3/25/05I sit
And stare
Straight ahead
Thinking of nothing
But what lies ahead f me
My challenges
And my challengers
A cool breeze escapes from a near by window
I breathe the sweet smell of fresh air
Darn.
Distraction
I steal a glance to my right
I’m met
With your stone cold eyes
Staring back at me
So I stare right back
Giving up my concentration
Denied
You’re not giving into temptation
Your face remains the same
As solid as a rock
I cock my head to the side
My mess of curly hair follows
There it is
Your weakness
Hidden in the corner of your eye
Where you thought I wouldn’t find it
I see deep within you
And the real you still thrives
Please
Come out and play
Things used to be so fun
A slight smile forms across my face
And then I remember
My mission
I go back to my deep thoughts
And am interrupted once more
But this time it’s my calling
I step forward
Embracing my foe
While never taking my eyes off yours |

This one kept forming in my head all through church tonight. I couldn't wait to get home and write it and I think it turned out pretty good. I actually showed my mom it! Big step for me. I also want to add I have a major obsession with eyes. I can't help but stare at people. It's just something I do.
