Lost Words

Just so you may believe me.
I cant keep my stories straight.
Wish they were taped to the floor beneath me.
It aches inside my stomach,
Just like another broken heart.
It eats away at my ego,
And now im falling apart...
Im searching for the words
That will bring you back to life
Im searching for the answer,
And once more,searching for my knife.
If i ended everything,
I just gave my life away,
Is that what it may take,
Just to find the words to say?
Can you even hear the words,
I whisper in your ear?
Can you feel my breath against you,
Do you even know im here?
I practiced it in the mirror
Several times a day,
But when i meet you face to face,
The words just slip away.
I lose my voice,choke on my words
And i dont know why i try,
Everytime i open my mouth,
All that will escape is a lie.
I would give up anything,
Not like it matters anyway.
I wish i knew how much it takes,
To find the words to say. |
