I Wish For Death

I wish to be enveloped in Death's arms
I wish for this while I cry
I wish for this while I do myself bodily harm
I wish for death like the next day were not to come
I wish for it as though I were dying
I wish for Death's long arms to hold me
I wish for it where I am now lying
I wish for death and it never arrives
I wish for death as I am taken away
I wish for it as they stick me with the siringe
I wish for death as I fade away
I wake and still wish for death
I lie in a padded cell painted white
I wish for death as I try to escape the jacket
I wish for death as with an orderly I fight
I wish for death before I am knocked out
I wake with a swollen jaw
I still wish for death as I begin to scream in rage
Through the window, people shake their head at what they saw
I wish for death as they fill me with pills
I wish for death's embrace before I sleep
I wish for death so much
I wish for it while I weep
I wish for death and it does not come
I wish for death and it ignores me still
I wish for death while in this room
I wish for death no more as I lay still
As I lay dead. |
