lying eyes

and lie
flat out say that you still love me
its been too long
too many things have gone on
and you were never there before
so why should i expect you
to be here for me now
false promices
made up truths
never again
can i believe in you
i once thought
we could make things work
i just miss being held by you
its my one wish
that i know
will never come true
how can you stare
with such loving eyes
when i know the things you say
are horrible lies
and i was there and i saw
i know what you did
so how can you expect me to forgive you
when this is all through
i know you don't really expect me
to fall back in love with you |
