Rain

Saw the rain pounding on
Watched the water tricle down
Watched as on my window the rain danced upon
The rain reminds me of my tears
Too many falling to count
I cant remember why I cried so much
Or why the rain is something I always want
The rain still beating
Like my shattered heart
Still punding upon my window
As the lightning rips clouds apart
It makes no matter
The rain is like my tears
Never to stop
But never to disappear
I guess its a way to remember
To remember my doubts, fears and pains
A way of knowing
That what I lose leaves me with something to gain
I sit staring out
Wondering when the rain will quiet down
I sit and wonder aimlessly
When will I smile again instead of frown
Today I looked out my window
The rain now gone
And slowly but surely I realize
Life carries on |
