» Poem: Numb
Numb
written by purpleppleater
07:33 AM 3/27/05
My fingers are numb,
they can not feel.
there is no great sum.

my lips are chapped,
they split and crack.
i don't run i'm being lapped.

my hair is limp,
no volume today.
i'm just a gimp.

my meaning has gone,
i've misplaced it along the way.
i'll just have to wait for the dawn,
of another day.

my hope is lost,
no spark still burns.
my mind is coated in the frost.

my eyes are dim,
the color has fled.
i hide behind my brim.

my words have stopped.
