morbid news

The fateful news comes,
Not as a shock, but a shame.
I grab your shaking hand,
Cold and damp - abnormal.
Like a hunted Deer
You fall limp and lifeless;
Wimpering as you gaze into my eyes
From within my weakining arms.
It will be different
From here on in.
A new way of looking at things,
A new life - not for the better.
Though this will be tough,
We can make it through.
Together we shall rebond,
With God our eternal affixment. |

coincidentally, i wrote this exactly a month b4 my girlfriends grandmother died... i read it to her today - she liked it.
