» Poem: Father and son
Father and son
written by wiltedrose

A small child’s cry, a young mothers sigh
As she tucks him into bed quietly for the night
Who knew the next day, he would disobey
And a car would knock him out strait of his way

The moon and the light, shining so bright
As if working to give us a beautiful sight
But some day the stars will fall, to come and kill us all
But we can’t do anything, nothing at all

The old and the brave, lay below their grave
Saved every single life they could possibly save
But soon over time, these thoughts won’t even rhyme
One of those souls I happen to call mine

But life goes on, dare prove me wrong
For the father and son I sing this song
May they both rest, it’s all for the best
Now the mother is alone to face life’s test
