water reflection
written by angel1dot004:38 PM 3/27/05There's a guardian in my head
he should have kept you away
I don't know how you became my friend
And I don't understand
why you have to ask
all these bloody questions when you know
I don't have any answers for
who I really am
or want to be
or who I see
when I look into the mirror
everything looks like
reflections of rays from the sun
on the surface of water
seen from beneath the sea
Let me ask you
since you took my virginity
do you still have your innocent mind left
maybe stored in a box made of your dreams
You took me for a ride at night in your car
we both knew that car ain't yours
and you were not a very good driver
but that doesn't matter
I'm gonna have my own
as soon as I get famous
By playing the guitar
I'll forget who you are
You'll be like
reflections of rays from the sun
on the surface of water
seen from beneath the sea
That's how I want you to be
to deep
in me
as long as you don't speak
You took me for a night or five in your bed
we both knew you couldn't have my soul
and you were not a very good lover
but that doesn't matter
I'm gonna get a new
as soon
as I'm done with this mess
when I find my voice
I can make my choice
and I'll
wipe away the shaddows of blood
which this ugly world has left on me
and I'll
kick the water for a splash in my face
and admidst the drops I know I'll see
the reflections of rays from the sun on the surface of water seen from beneath the sea |
