A pale hand
White and fair
Reaching for stars
Grasping for truth
A weathered face
Craked and worn
Hiding in shadows
Masked forever
A trapped soul
Just 19
Locked in a nightmare
Bound from the world
A fearful eye
Cautious yet fierce
Straining to see
Longing to cry
A quiet voice
Cherished but silenced
Fearing to be noticed
Screaming to be heard |
