» Poem: The Little Things In Life
The Little Things In Life
written by whatShouldUsBe

As I hold this warm little child
a creature of our invention
my eyes light up and get wild
knowing it wasn't our intention
Stupid teenage lovers
who made an honest mistake
we thought it wouldn't matter
if we pretended it was fake
we thought we wanted it gone
we were going to kill an innocent life
because we made mistake
and you didn't want to take a wife
We thought our lives were over
but boy we were sure wrong
now this little life
gives us a reason to be strong
Its the little things in life
that make us who were are
so through years of pain and strife
we'll make this baby a star
so we can forgive ourselves
for wanting to end her life
all because we were young
and I didn't want to be your wife.
You said to make you appreciate
the little things in life
like a pair of baby shoes
bought but never worn.

That was a very beautiful poem. You are right, all life is precious and there is nothing more magical the bringing a new life into this world. Smiles
