Shards of Glass (my song)

My love on the other side
If I reach out to touch the glass
I feel no warmth only longing desire
If the glass should shatter
I'd feel your flesh
I'd be able to hold you
And feel your every breath
~Shards of me like shattered glass
Broken into a thousand pieces
Empty and hollow like a soul
No warmth of touch or taste of kisses
And in the end of it all
All thats left of me
Are shards of broken glass
Cutting into me~
I should know better
I'd feel so much more complete
If I could touch your hand
And not have a piece of glass between
~Shards of me like shattered glass
Broken into a thousand pieces
Empty and hollow like a soul
No warmth or touch or taste of kisses
And in the end of it all
All thats left of me
Are shards of broken glass
Cutting into me~
And I know when I leave
I'll be shattered even more
I know it will hurt
I'll lie broken on the floor
~Shards of me like shattered glass
Broken into a thousand pieces
Empty and hollow like a soul
No warmth or touch or taste of kisses
And in the end of it all
All thats left of me
Are shards of broken glass
