Why can't you just let me be?!

someone who's unreal.
But if you looked closer,
the true me would reveal.
You can say you hate me,
in fact, you can say whatever you want.
I promise it won't affect the way I live,
I'll ignore all your taunts.
You go around telling people I'm a liar,
that I am fake.
You laugh at my attire,
you say my birth was a mistake.
You look down on me,
but you'll never know.
You think you understand me,
but the real me hasn't shown.
You call me an attention-seeker,
that fakes the scars on her wrists.
You're making a huge error,
why must you insist?
Insist that I'm the one in the wrong,
and that I'm at fault.
Insist that I don't belong,
and that I deserve those insults.
*Sigh* I don't know why you're wasting time,
on someone like me.
Is it because you simply enjoy watching me cry,
why can't you just let me be?! |
