When The Grass Is No Longer Green!

...the sun cannot reflect and shine upward...
...the dirt looks extra hard and plenty thirsty...
While little boys and girls run in side with blood gushing from their knees, from bottle cuts instead of grass burns that can be kissed and washed away...
...the trash decorates the streets and sidewalks with steel gates and wired fences, (distracting clear vision) claiming to protect it's tenants from the bad out side infleunces while locking in the good who dream of america...
...Little girls pick up babies instead of lilies and daises,while their boyfriends pick-up rocks,sticks,bats,guns,and knives.but seldomly pick uptheir babies(may be babies are too heavey to hold )like jobs...
...Neighborhood fights become intertainment, paid not by golden belts and million dallor contracts,but with death and deep scars that stop you from running,while mothers cry and wear old dresses to new churches for their sons funeral...
...Powerless officails offer bandaids for solutions instead OF up rooting the soil for the grass that grows which may take for generations, but no one living there has time to wait
because...
...Yesterday barely made it ...
...Today is holding on by a string...
..and...
...Tommorrow is forever breaking
...PROMISES... |
