» Poem: Regret is sweet sorrow
Regret is sweet sorrow
written by IceBound

I used to know your name
a face i'd never seen
a touch never to embrace
but it never mattered
i fell in love with your voice
you fell in love with my lies
i wish i would have had more time
if you knew the real me would you have stayed?
through the pain of your heart betrayed?
i guess no is too late, i let you go
slipping straight through my fingers
your flame blown out
and i'm left in all but the ashes
we both laughed once
in times we would share
the future but a dream in our eyes
the past seemingly nothing
just me and you, and about 10,000 miles between
though i never felt you, i hld you close to my heart
how stupid i was to throw away the best thing that happend
without thinking i turned away
how i would have loved to see you that day...
