» Poem: my reasoning
my reasoning
written by IceBound
12:28 AM 3/30/05
is it bothersome to write my own entrapment?
to play this game with no excitement?
that my thoughts are merely a tool
my emotions cling to light
my own moth to a blue flame
shadows cast differently in my world
my world...that from which your mind's eye blind
you heed my wornings and yet you still pass
you the prisoner to my palace
your heart to engage the lesson
i'm looking at this all wrong
so this is my purpose...
regret, but i'll live
suspicious goals distort good intentions
when illusion dies reality reveals
taught i could change, i now look away
darkness slowly steals the light
and slowly my fears fade away
I am melting away
falling through cracks i thought were strong
i'll soon forget and not have to face the facts
sooth my mind with lies...
this is my reason to live
