something that needs to be said

I've hidden in darkness and fear.
It's something that haunts me. Something so true,
I've shed just one broken tear.
The past that remains has a secret inside.
It's telling me never to speak.
But I fight the urge, and I hold my pride,
Yet it's something that will never turn weak.
Feelings have flooded and I have untangled,
untangled the thoughts in my head.
My secrets have spilled out. I have been strangled.
There's something that needs to be said. |
