» Poem: Gravity
Gravity

Have you ever felt so lonely,
you thought you could cry out the sadness?
And have you ever been so unaware,
you felt like the entire world was madness?

Have you ever sat and reflected,
on the things that you've done wrong?
And maybe, just maybe you've realized,
you've been right all along.

You were right to say no,
but you're not getting any credit.
Maybe sometimes being wrong is right,
but no matter what you do you'll regret it.

If you're right,
they think you're wrong.
If you're wrong,
they think you're not.

Your mind becomes your only friend,
because it's the only one who understands.
Nobody will ever know all the things you've had to deal with,
Nobody will ever be able to give you another chance.

You wish you had a time machine,
so you could go back and make things right.
But you know that'll never happen,
so how can you shed some light?

You try so hard to be strong,
like the people they show on TV.
But in the end your weakness shows,
and they mistake your intensity for being mean.

So now the loneliness has made you depressed,
and you slip now into thoughts of dying.
But you already know you don't want to die,
so now you just start lying.

Lie to yourself and say you're perfect,
Lie to yourself and say you're fine.
You'll never be perfect, you'll never be fine,
You can buy the entire store, physical things will never define.

They were right all along as well,
it's what's inside that counts.
If your insides can't handle the pressure,
you'll always be the ball that doesn't bounce.
