» Poem: Average School Day
Average School Day
written by HitomiCherub
10:01 PM 3/30/05
I walk through the school halls
Watching others make out
Listening to the gossip
And wondering
Where in this group do I fall?

I go to my class
To try to learn
But all I hear
Is more and more gossip
And the class goes by fast

I go to lunch
To my usual place
Someplace quiet
Where loudness will happen
Which is what I hunch

There is always this one guy
Who always meets me by my classes
Always hits on me
And repeatedly says
"You make my heart fly"

I go home
With those words
Fluttering around my head
And always wonder
Why do I feel so alone?

I get online
And talk to my friends
To help take my mind
Off those flattering words
And minutes later, I am fine

I forget my sorrows
When I go to bed
Knowing while I sleep,
While I dream
That everything will be new tomorrow
