Love is a Waste of Time

Why waste your time
There really is no point
No particular reason or rhyme
Because all that's going to happen
Is, in the end, you'll get hurt
And all you'll be left with are the memories
And if you're lucky, maybe his shirt
The consequences that follow
Will make you wish you were dead
And all the hateful words he spoke
Will go straight to your head
You'll go right to cutting or popping pills
It won't be long before you fall apart
Because that's what love does
It make you happy, then it breaks your heart
So why take a chance to get crushed?
Why give Love the satisfaction of using you?
Why give up everything you have for someone
Who will end up breaking your heart in two? |
