Sing me to Sleep
written by boom_boom1305:39 AM 4/1/05Only a girl,
With no memories to hide,
She crouches in a corner,
With tears in her eyes.
No one listens, or believes in her;
No one thinks that she can do better.
I take her in my arms so she can feel safe,
From all the things that take place.
She trembles in fear of getting hit again,
But she isn't old enough to defend.
When morning comes,
It'll be too late;
That night she met her fate.
Now tears make puddles,
And prayers make wings,
So she can fly and do wondrous things.
Into a place where she is loved,
She now lives happily up above.
She was caught in her life
And she was so, very deep.
I remember her last words,
"Sing me to sleep." |
