Last Time

the last time i would see the twinkle in your eyes?
the last time we would make love?
it was so unaware we'd be ripped apart the very next day.
all because of a mistake i made.
who knew it would be the last time we sit in your car?
the last time we lay on your bed?
the last time we hold each other?
we had no idea that you'd have to leave.
but if i knew that we'd never see each other again,
i wouldn't have let you go,
i would fight for out love,
and if we knew we'd be broken apart,
i'm sure we would have won the fight. |
