» Poem: Ode to Seymour
Ode to Seymour
written by Twilights_dawn

Far of in the distant past
to far back in our history so vast
there was a girl who lived in peace
until the day that brought the beast
that erupted from her departed friend's corpse
the small little creature so strong without remorse
he grew so fast, so evil, so strong
he watched the girl, waited, all day long
until she was happy, with her child in hand
he stole her away, begged her to understand
She would not be swayed, her will was stone
until he reminded her she was not alone
to save her husband and sweet child
she let him change her into something wild
they traveled far with others of their kind
feeding on the blood of mankind
after years had gone by
so many days without a clear blue sky
he heard of a man, dare he be called a man?
it is said he hold the stars in his hand
They travel far to see the Lord
when the girl saw him her spirit soared
there was no word for him but divine
there was no word for her but malign
Krishna told her to make no others of her race
and she would forever have his grace
Sita agreed and left her life
she traveled the world with only her knife
for centuries she wandered the world
watching as the tales of history unfurled
the pain of her sins were fresh on her mind
as time forever left her behind
as the twenty-first century arose
unbeknown to her, so did her foes
As her secret was revealed
it led her to her new high school's football field
Seymour was the boy she met
she looked upon him with regret
there was something about the boy
a connection that filled her heart with joy
it was not love, like it was with Ray
but in his dreams her past was displayed
but the boy was dying, he would soon be gone
how could she let him go, when he knew more of her tale with each passing dawn
After becoming what she thought she already was
The last vampire, with all her flaws
she gave him her blood, the elixir of death
but she did not use it to take away his breath
staying true to her Lord, she gave him just a bit
but it was enough to make his blood re-knit
Now he was better, he would not die
though he was wary of the day she would say goodbye
as the year past, and her adventures grew
he would write down the wonderful brew
of tales of horror and love and sin
waiting for his turn to begin
She asked him for much advice
then came the time to pay the price
upon that night he was close to the end
Sita knew she must save her friend
She gave him the blood from her veins
until his human self did not remain
she cursed herself and her lord
since this has happened all before
His strength, his joy was very brief
when Sita was caught in a moment of disbelief
after facing her final foe
their was a choice she did not know
she had to chance to anew
the night that changed the world she knew
instead of letting the creature take life
she stabbed it with her trusty knife
from that point on she lived her dream
a happy life, her destiny
and back at his desk, Seymour smiles
he has finished her story that went on for miles
as the last few days of his life begin to pass
he is happy knowing she has made him Immortal once again.
At last.
