It Never Works

But you never hear
I can jump in front of you making the weirdest scene possible
But you never see
I can be gone a thousand years
But you never notice
Time and time again
I promise myself
Not to let them take me over
To say how I feel
And let them know I hurt
But it never works
I give in
Let them beat me
Defeat me
Leave me
Crawling on the floor
Reaching for the pills
But no matter how many I take
It never helps
And I’m left with a pain inside
No one can heal |
