» Poem: Bitter Sweet Peace
Bitter Sweet Peace
written by Rogue
11:32 AM 4/2/05
You rang the bell just the other night
Claimed their were a few things you had to get right
Had to speak to me tonight
I let you talk and listened cautiously
Talked about your dreams and wishs
How much you loved me then and did for me
Talked about the days we were something
Mentioned a few words about how you left
Our last few days you had some regrets
Felt you needed to clear the air
I just stood right there
Didn't say a word didn't but in
Just continued to let you speak
Not a sigh or even a wink
I didn't even want to think
You said you made a big mistake cause she wasn't worth all the pain you caused me
She was a phase you had to get through
You always thought about me and you
And how much we've been through
Suddenly you wanted to know what I thought and where I stood on any of this my chance to talk
You thought you could even get a kiss
Said you were surprised to see I had cut my hair and I wasn't wearing your ring
I jumped in with a failed emotion before you could go on any longer
That's when I said I didn't regret a thing
Glad you and I were done
Yeah so it might have been some fun
I might have been mad at one time
I might have cried
My eyes have dried and your the last thing on my mind
Might have had feelings back then but i'm not willing to let you in now
The fact is your a coward
In fact I think you need to go
Really that was a nice show
I'll never forget the look on his face
The tears in his eyes as I walked away
Closed the door headed up the stairs
Turned on the tv and glared
This is some bitter sweet peace

Just what I have sort of said to an ex from my past. When they show up or come out of blue.
