» Poem: Civil War
Civil War
written by Tessin
07:32 PM 4/2/05
"You have no right its not your fight,
This land belongs to another"
"That may be true, yet i'll tell you,
I'll settle for no other."
"Then gather your forces, saddle your horses,
and prepare for the fight of your life"
"I would advise, you do likewise,
or suffer the point of a knife"
So they rallied their men, and painted their skin,
on two lines face to face..
Two desires, rifle fires,
and fighting for some other place.
It all seems so useless, rugged and ruthless,
Until you see what they're fighting for.
They're just different ways of passing the days,
and fighting the very same war.
But what stands in the way, a wise man might say,
Should be the victor of all.
Promises made, were not meant to stay,
paradise was designed to fall.
