The Ocean

Smelled the salty air
As it poured through my hair
Kicked the sand all around
Felt it tingle in my feet
Tried to escape all the stress of my life
If only for a night
Watched as the waves crashed into each other
Tried not to think about any other
Attempting to remember any time
When life felt right
Going to stay here for a little longer
Let go of all the bad thoughts in my mind
Throw them into the beach
Let them float off into the sea
Then maybe i'll be at peace |
