» Poem: Anti-combustable Link
Anti-combustable Link
written by ExX
03:32 AM 4/4/05
You adorn my heart, unwrapped in a simple fashion
Opened unto that of which ignites my burning passion
True, whatnot, do two entangled hearts delve
If not, but only yes, that I ask to be myself
Caress not the cheek, but the whispered fire
Yet only within the dawn of death will we retire
So that we shall hold a torch unto tomorrow
And, with this, we leave but remains of day's sorrow
And now, as this blaze, within scorches and severs two bound parts
This abandoned link will measure, the veins shared by two hearts.

Author's footnotes and comments on this Poem:
I wrote this after the guy I liked asked me out. Too ad he was drunk at the time and did'nt really mean it. Oh well, I'm over it now. Still, I feel a connection with him, and he's a good friend, thus even though I wrote this when we were in a relationship, it shows that through our destruction we can be just friends.
