» Poem: Glimpse of Love Understood
Glimpse of Love Understood
written by CROSS+CUTTER

This is my life.
It’s not what it used to be.
Somehow these feelings are real.

This is my world.
I loved to be loved.
And someone’s telling me love isn’t ok.
I’m in a struggle.

I’ve opened mine eyes
To see more than I want to see.
I’m looking past the world that is there.
I must be waking.

And all of my life,
All lies and more lies.
I never stopped to question if it all was real.

Now I’m waking up
And I wish I’d seen it before
But now I’m happy that I do
And everyone’s telling me it’s wrong

And pulling me away
Out of my daze
Sucked in the world
Of only the shallow end.
