» Poem: Poor Twitching Girl
Poor Twitching Girl
written by CROSS+CUTTER

It all seemed so normal at first.
I heard my name,
She would call me whenever I was alone.

I kept seeing images, shadows,
Following me, of all people,
Me?

I finally woke up today to see her.
She was lying on her side on a shelf,
High in the closet.

Her face was like mine,
Only older from stress, and worry.
She lay far from peaceful.

Twitching, pinching the air infront of her.
She wouldn't stop
And I stared at her until she fadded away.

I know she's still there, twitching.
With eyes wide awake,
She will never sleep.

Like her, I am now kept awake
For fear of waking
And seeing her twitching body.

I see it in my mind now.
It's always there,
Forcing me to twitch to keep awake.

This is all true. Maybe it was all a dream, but I have been awake ever since.

Whoa it seems kind of scary or freaky, but I'm not quite sure what your talking about.
