"Paradise" Version 2

Your hand in mine
Everything felt right, everything seemed fine
My heart pounding with joy
Your eyes smilling at me
Walking side by side
..It was meant to be
T'was a blue, sunny day
Again, it just felt so right
But then, everything changed..
The day turned to night
You let go of my hand.. And walked away
Scared and confused, nothing there to say
No more joy in my heart..
Nothing left but pain.
No more bright, blue sky
Just the pouring rain..
Now I'm down on my knees
Wondering what went wrong
Then I said to myself, with tears in my eyes
I should have known better..I should have seen past the lies.. |
