» Poem: Dreamer
Dreamer
written by twistedmind33

A little girl dances ballerina style
Not believing much else
Than what her mommy tells her
And what her imagination creates
Dreaming of princesses and fairytales
Later creating a whole new world
One she wishes to live in
And never have to fear change
She’s the dreamer
Living an optimistic life
Not caring what happens to her
Knowing she can always start anew
They all see it
The way she smiles
While so much tragedy occurs
The way she dances without a care
While the rain soaks her skin
All want to be her
And have her for their own
But they don’t realize
Her heart belongs to the boy in her dreams
The one with so many flaws
You have to love
He’s always in her perfect world
No matter how many times she starts over
And even though she may not know it,
He’s a fellow dreamer
Existing in another place and time
Just waiting to find the perfect girl in his dreams
