A year has past...

yet you persist to tell me you love me.
A year sence I told you it was over,
you ask for a kiss.
Why do you do this to your-self,
you know i'll just deanie you of what you ask.
A year & you still talk to me,
you know i'll only be a friend to you.
You know it wom't go back to the way it was,
I won't go there again.
A year has gone by,
yet you ask again.
Why won't you just let things be?
A year & all I ask of you is to be a friend,
yet you still want more.
A year has past & you think I've betraied you,
I just feel for another.
You said I've hurt you,
you know a year a go that this would happen.
A year a go I told you we would only be friends from here,
you agread & said you wouldn't ask me to be your gurl again.
You lied to me that day,
you ask me in every look you give me,
in every letter you send me,
in the words you speak to me,
in your hate to the others I date,
you lied & you ask me every day.
A year has gone,
yet you still ask me every day,
A yaer has past & you won't stop asking,
so I must say good-by.
Yes I still want you as a friend,
but you ask me for more then that every day.
