I told me so!
written by butcakes09:23 AM 4/6/05i met you in a familiar place
we do look similar, but you have a younger face
now i realise - i know what you need to hear
you give me a puzzled look as i whisper into your ear-
"i know what your going through, i know what its like
so sell your car and start to ride a bike!
its better for your health with things that way
listen to me now and YOULL SEE ONE DAY!
"i know it might sound weird right now
but i know you have to hear it somehow
you must start treating yourself alot better
and keep treating your girl like the day you met her
"For what good is a man with a purposeless life?
saying things you shouldnt and getting into strife
knowing what your doing to yourself, i ought to kick you
but if you knew what i do, you kick yourself too
"you just keed to know that things need to change!
become a better person, a love no longer strange
please liosten up because one day youll be doing the same
giving advice to someone with the same parents and same name"
yes it was ME i spoke to that day
seeing myself younger was a horrid display
im glad that day i had myself to tell me
so i improved my life and now live with glee! =D |

incase you couldnt tell by the end, this is a poem about an old guy who visits himself when he was younger and tells him to shape up his life...weird concept, but i found the rhymes, so i went for it!! [ View butcakes's Profile ] [ Go to the Poetry Portal ] This Poem has been viewed 77 times
