The Things I Love and Hate About You
written by Writermadman09:03 PM 4/6/05The Things I Love and Hate About You
Your black and wavy hair, your gorgeous blue eyes…
Your sweet assuring voice says to me “I love you!” But I only come to realize…
That I can see right through your shallow lies!
You played me like a fiddle…maybe you did like me just a little!
But now I can’t be sure, it’s sad I had to learn…
That love hurts, and your essence touches mine and then begins to burn!
I love you, and you said that you love me, but it was just a flirt!
And I must tell you darlin’, that really, really hurt!
I’m not sure where to start, now that you’ve broken my heart.
But I stay open, praying there’s a chance, and I perform this tiresome dance!
If there’s love between us tell me so, but if not just let me go!
So I can live my life, and go on broken through my strife! |
