» Poem: I've lost myself
I've lost myself
written by mattwhatever

I've lost myself
Living with drink and drug addictions, with poor health
Clinging to my once frivolous lifestyle and remembering my wealth

Then something happened, I met some one and it all changed
My trivial problems, with her seem estranged
Cause to her my heart, my mind, my soul have ranged

The walls collapse in and crush me
But not with her, cause I’m free
To sacrifice the rest of my life seems a worthy fee

This place holds no more for me
There’s a big world out there for me to see
I don’t want to be constricted I long to be free

For she is the one
Her and I seem a correct sum
No more fear, no more pain no time to run

We sit and talk for hours
Look up at the stars, the sky the spring showers
To my heart she continually devours

I want our love to last forever
It's all I need just me and her together
I know we can over come any issues no matter what the weather
