» Poem: The Secrets of the Heart
The Secrets of the Heart
written by LorienDegwen1
02:13 AM 4/8/05
My heart has turned dark
It beats a crimson red
Broken has it fallen
It hits the cold damp floor
I can't pick up the pieces
My calls are not heard
My heart as turned dark
It beats a crimson red
I can't get the voices out from my head
I wish for redemption
I wish I was dead
Just to get these voices
Out of my head
My heart has turned dark
It beats a crimson red
They tell me to give up
to just give in
I try to drown them out
I try to get a break
To deny and rebel
Sounds so sweet
Not against my parents
Not against the cops
To rebel against my mind
This endless black hole
Is only but a dream
Grasped by reality
Only to few times
My heart has turned black
It beats a crimson red
It beats hard
And to a certain beat
Constant in my head
My heart keeps me going
Though dark there is still light
As long as my heart keeps beating
I will always do what's right
Don't give up on me
Though you may not see
Through all this dark
the little light
That is still in my heart
my heart has turned dark
It beats a crimson red
