» Poem: the end
the end
written by blackrose777
02:53 AM 4/8/05
In the darkness there is a light that some may never find
By our chains are we thus bind
Some may never escape, for all they've know has been raped
The air is cold, and before us time begins to fold
You hear a scream that cuts like ice through your ears
Everything floods back, now you're surrounded by your fears
The screaming gets louder and more excruciating
Your sanity is slowing, slowing fading away

Your heart feels like its pumping out of your chest
All you can do is close your eyes and hope for the best
But the best never arrives, your life flashes before your very eyes
All that is left here is the lingering lies
