Tints Of Different Realities
written by Lady Deathstrike09:31 PM 4/8/05There is no escaping her
The girl who hides inside
A whisper here
A shallow breath
Cloaked by naive pride
Slowly, yet surely, innocence slips into gloom
She flutters to the top of your mind
Where the shadows loom
The mask grows old
And the wearer grows weary
Memories of a past life steadily become more bleary
She rises to the surface
Grey matter
Sulking lust
Takes over your thoughts
Ancient faces return to dust
With rising and impending anger
Hollow shrikes fill the air
Frustration, all consuming
Intruders beware
A ghost of one who once was
A shadow of someone new
Slinking to the far corners of her mind
Disappearing in the morning dew |
