» Poem: The Sea
The Sea
written by DeadInside187

He goes to school everyday
In the same fashion and way
No one says hi
Not even as he walks by
No one has noticed his heed
Or his great desire and need
For the love and affection of another
For he doesn’t get any not even from his mother
He is all alone and no one will care
Not even now as he has reached the final stair
He looks down upon the city
Seeing the bright lights that are all so pretty
Now staring at the cold blue ocean below
He knows that he is so close to letting go
He wants to write a letter as to why
He is performing this deed
But no one will say goodbye
No one will take the time to read
No one will miss him when he’s gone
He was played through life like a pawn
Hearing the waves crash far below
Brings him back to the reality to know
That he is one step from being free
And letting everyone see
Past this mask of glass that allowed him to hide
The pain that he kept locked deep inside
He now takes his final step into the deep
Hoping to find a permanent state of sleep
He feels the wind rush through his hair
As he falls through the endless air
Who would have known that the fall
Is the longest part of it all
His body crashes into the sea
Setting his pain consumed heart free
The waves engulf his body as well
Sending it down into its cold blue hell
His body now lies at the bottom of this sea
Where no one will ever have to see
The pain that he suffered through all those years
Until he was tired of the pain and gave in to his fears
He had lost all hope and every friend
He had no option but to put an end
To the hell that he called life
