» Poem: Forsaken Love
Forsaken Love
written by TheLostandNeverFound
02:53 AM 4/9/05
You smile. I laugh.
You tackle. I cling.
We love, not you. Not I.
Your caress me with tender fingertips.
I kiss you softly on the lips.
We love, not you. Not I.
You make passionate gestures.
I return each with lustrous hunger.
We love, not you. Not I.
Yet that was then, this is now.
You yell, I shriek.
You strike, I retort.
We loved. You and I.
You leave, I cry.
Your gone, I'm alone.
We loved. You and I. But no more do we.
Our once striving love has been forsaken.
