Is years of pain
Hidden
Hoping never to be let out
It hurts enough to hold it in
To show it
Would make things worse
I hope
That maybe someday
There will be time
For my scars to heal
Time between the cuts
Underneath this smile
Are many things
That no one should go through
That no one deserves to take
But underneath that smile
Is a teenage girl
Trying to live through the pain |
