» Poem: I Am Like Snow
I Am Like Snow
written by HitomiCherub
02:22 PM 4/9/05
All the grass dies
And all the birds fly
Over night
Snow covers the ground
The next day
I take my first step
Into the blanket of untouched, sparkly, whiteness
The cold, freezing, blanket
Doesn't bother me in the least
Maybe because I am as cold
As the white, white, snow
People say I'm kind
They say I'm warm
But if such things were true
Why don't I melt the snow?
I don't help the melting of the white blanket
Instead
All I do
Is help the white blanket stay
And help more, and more, come
Because I am like snow
