As best we can

i'm broken inside and you dont have what it takes to put me together
i need caring, compassion
what i need now is just to deal
everything can take what i have left
but nothing will give what i've lost back
i feel so tired, so out of shape
what i have done to myself will stay with me forever
is it so hard to put up with me?
that you cant even sit in the same place?
am i so difficult that you shun me aside?
i feel so alone, and i'm alone because of you
maybe that isnt right, maybe i need to think about this
did you really make me feel this way?
maybe
did you do it on purpose?
maybe
are you helping it any?
no
is it for better or worse?
worse
i cant always get strait answers,
and its hard to deal with that
cant you understand that i need facts?
tell me your lies, tell me your truths
but deep down inside, i know you dont care
you kick me down, you shun me aside
but what i know is that way, far, deep down inside
that one small part of you does care
and you just wont let it through
until you are ready to admit
to this horrible crime you comit
then come to me and tell it out,
maybe i'll make you shout
scream it as loud as you can
dont worry about the dreamers as they sleep
nothing is as it seems, nothing is right any more
why should it all matter
why should we all care?
its just one more day, just one more day
we can get through this
