All That I Ask

Its hard to see ourselves behind this dreadful mask,
Behind a steal gate lies a rainbow that never fades,
But as we continue war we get farther away.
I'd like to see that rainbow filled with brightness and color,
But in a world full of hate its all just a blur,
I hope one day we will bust right through that gate,
And no longer will we have to wait,
To see the brightness and color of that rainbow,
In a world full of sunshine and empty of snow.
But in a world filled with so much hate,
I dont think we will have a chance to bust through that gate,
You would think kindness would be a simple task,
But it's not, So some peace in this world is all that I ask. |
