One Step Ahead

the girls always teased me bad
said his hair's too long and his clothes are too tight
whats with this awful sight?
two months later to the night
she called lookin for sex
i can't believe they told me about how bad i was
now they are worse than me
one step
one step
one step ahead!
told me that i was much to weird
my hair was long and i wanted a beard
i told them spandex was cool
they told me that i was a fool!
now people around here
always look to me
to try to be near what i was a month ago!
