I can't

And I can't hold these feelings back
I can't stop my heart from beating faster
I can't say the words I lack for you
I can't help but cry for that
Is what I will never have
I can't explain these feelings i have
I can't follow my heart
For where ever it goes
I end up in the dark
To many times have I done this
And never turned back
I can't do this anymore
And I can't cry these tears for you no more
I can't put up with this
I can't sit in my room all afternoon
Because I don't have you
I just can't cry for you anymore
I can't be your baby girl
I can't be the angel you adore
I can't help but want too
But I just can't be something
I'm not
I can't keep making excuses
Or reasons why to stick around
I can't hold on to you any longer
I just can't
I can't give up on myself
I can't let you bring me down
I can't let you play with my heart any longer
But I can move on right now
I can hold my head up high
knowing I am doing alright
I will miss the times we had
But I can't dwell on that any more
I can move one to a brighter day
I can do things without you
I realize that now your gone
I am stronger than ever before
Because I said I can't but now I can
I can be my own person now
Instead of listening to you
I can go the direction I want
Without you saying I can't |

This is about a possesive ex boyfriend that I finally broke up with after a bunch of mental and physical abuse. Saying I can't put up with this anymore was the best thing i ever said.
